Callings

Neal and Caius are both sick. Caius is just getting over his cold, and Neal's is just starting. Miraculously, I have remained healthy for the past few months, while Neal and Caius have been passing colds back and forth to each other.

Today I received a calling! I was sustained today, and will be set apart next week. I was asked to be the Ward Choir Director. In this ward that includes picking out the hymns we sing during sacrament meeting, and organizing special musical numbers. Right now our ward's choir sings for holidays, but I have been asked to plan for the choir to sing once a month. I feel inadequate almost every time I get a new calling, but this one is especially scary! I know of many people in our ward who are musically inclined, and sing well, and lead music confidently. Needless to say, I was surprised to be asked. I have one loyal (and extremely talented) choir member already who has been very supportive. Thank you, Neal!

Neal also has a calling, which he received two or three months ago. He is on the "Redeem the Dead Committee." They basically plan and attend Ward Temple Nights, and try to get the members of the ward to come. We have attended every Temple Night since Neal was called, and it is so nice to be at the Temple so often. We have a lot of people who have been willing to babysit Caius for us, and we are so grateful to them.

Hey Robin! It's Janessa from Iowa City. I was visiting teaching your mom last night and asked her how you are doing. She gave me your blog address so that I could see your cute little guy. He's getting so big and as cute as ever! It was fun to look through your blog. Looks like you guys are doing good. You're such a cute mom! If you're interested, I have a blog too and can send you an invite (it's on private). We could be blogging buddies:) Just email me and let me know janessacazier@msn.com. Take care!

Robin Anne- you are going to be such a great choir director :) Also, Caius is getting so big! I can't believe he is that old already. It seemed like just yesterday that you were pregnant.

Anyways, I also wanted to respond to the question/comment you posted on our blog about a month ago (sorry I've been a little behind....). Richard will be starting law school at Univ of Michigan this August. So we will stay in DC until August and then be moving to Ann Arbor, MI. Crazy, huh?
