Following is a hodgepodge of photos from our engagement and wedding days, in celebration of our 2nd anniversary!
We look so very young and naive in these pictures. We have recently heard a lot about the development of our frontal lobes and how it is not yet complete. How could we have made such major decisions like who to marry and having a baby when our brains aren't fully developed?! I think God meant for it to be that way. We feel so invincible when we are young, and we laugh in the face of trial and hardship. "Come what may" is the anthem and creed of the young! If it had been otherwise, we never would have done it. We would have thought better of our impudent decision to begin our family at such a young age, because we would have been able to realize all of the many consequences of our actions on that fateful day in December. Now that I am a little older, and a little more developed in the frontal lobe area, I can honestly say that I do not regret it. Happy anniversary Neal! I love you and hope to celebrate many many more anniversaries together, and make many many more life changing decisions with you, before our frontal lobes are complete!
