Projects

I am not the most crafty person, and I don't necessarily enjoy doing arts and crafts unless I am REALLY going to use whatever I make. In that case I can be pretty creative, and motivated. What Neal and I really enjoy is home improvement projects. He has more of a knack for it than I do, because he is so handy. (Actually he is literally a monomaniac. He can't do anything else until he figures out how to fix whatever is broken! He has spent many hours researching solutions for broken appliances. He was born to be a researcher...or in other words, a lawyer.)

So, with feng shui as our motivation, we have taken on a few big and a bunch of little projects to improve our home and the energy in our home.

I don't have any good pictures at this point, but we painted our house! Here is Neal taking the blinds down. It took a good 3 days to do our living room/kitchen area and our master bedroom/closet/bathroom. We really love how it turned out. I didn't realize it before but we were living in an insane asylum with all the white walls and white trim. We went with beige colors because that is what our apartment manager approved. I will post pictures soon!

A little project I did, was reupholstering our dining room table chairs. We got this awesome fabric on super duper sale at a closeout fabric store. We are in love with it! I am ecstatic about the finished product.

your house looks GORGEOUS. when i went over and saw the chairs...and the walls...and the plants...and everything, i was floored. you guys did an amazing job! it's really calming and everything just seems to flow really well.

oh when we were watching a movie, tesla was trying to climb onto your couch and sophie kept barking at him. abby said she keeps the boys in line and barks when they're doing something they're not supposed to. that's so cute!! :) it was hilarious.

p.s. tesla is in love with sophie. he thinks she's the funniest thing to ever walk the earth. i wish we could get a dog :)

Caius is not supposed to pull the lever to make the footrest come out on the couch, so she probably thought Tesla was trying to do that. She also has to sound the alarm if Caius is messing with any electronics!
Your place looks great! Love your changes. But I must disagree with the comment about the "born to be a researcher or in other words a lawyer" part. It has definitely not been my experience that lawyers are great at those sorts of things. Uncle Carl is great at lawyer research stuff but most definitely not fixing things! He does find things online for electronic gadgets but not household stuff. He has the repairman on speed dial for those sorts of things. Count your blessings for sure!

Thanks Sarah!

Aunt Debra, I am really lucky that Neal is so handy. He is actually really good at researching EVERYTHING! We hardly ever buy anything without researching it first. Him being handy is just the cherry on top! :)
