A Beautiful Day...Last August

It was so warm today! We had a "Hygiene Day!!!" That means I do a thorough scrubbing, clipping, and cleaning of all the little bodies in my charge. When Neal comes home and asks me what we did while he was at work, once or twice a week I just answer, "It was hygiene day." Because it takes hours...almost all day. He thinks it's funny, and suggested I talk about it as if it's a party day to get the boys excited and hopefully make them a little more cooperative. So now "Hygiene Day!!!" consists of me sing songing my way around excitedly screaming "It's 'Hygiene Day!!!' WHOOOOPEE!!!" while my boys hide from me or scream in terror, agony, and fear because mommy is anaconda squeezing them while clipping their nails or cleaning their ears out, and throwing buckets of water in their faces. It's not always that bad for all three of them...but at least one. 

SO. We started early this morning and Leland was the only uncooperative one today, so we finished early! We decided to go have lunch with Daddy at his work. During the spring and summer last year we would have a picnic with Daddy every Monday. We have missed it so much this winter. It ended up being pretty hot...and all three boys were sweaty and dirty by the time we got home. *siiiiiiigh* It was worth it to spend an hour outside with our favorite man. 

Here are pictures I never blogged from last August. Everyone looks so different now. Jerrick was super chubby, and he's thinned out a little now. Cai's hair was waaaay shorter than it is now. Leland's hair is long now too, and he's turned into a big boy. And Neal doesn't have the same 70's vibe he did in these pictures. 

In this video Jerrick is laughing at Caius and Leland because they had ketchup all over their faces...we think?
