New Blog!
We finally caved and made a blog! Hopefully we will be able to keep up with it, so that you can keep up with us. Now that we are expecting a baby there will be something interesting to write about! We are back in Sioux Falls, and we really like being here. We bought a new condo in January and we all love it. It is just the right size for us at this point in our lives. We have a pond in our back yard, so we see all kinds of wildlife. Since it is a condo, we are part of a homeowner's association which takes care of all the lawn care and snow removal, which would be a big chore for a busy guy and his pregnant wife.

Neal is working full-time at Dust-Tex and is enjoying researching and executing updates in things like computer software for the company. He started classes at Colorado Technical University Online this month. So far he likes the teaching style a lot. Neal has three callings at church. He teaches the Gospel Essentials class for new members and investigators on Sunday. On Tuesday nights he goes to cub scouts where he works as a cub master for the 9 year old boys, and recently he was called to be the Secretary in the Stake Young Men's Presidency.
Robin Anne is 33 weeks pregnant (49 days left) and is looking forward to bringing a baby home in July! She just finished painting the baby's room orange. She is the Primary Music Coordinator at church and she plans and coordinates the Relief Society Book Club. This month they are reading "The Screwtape Letters" by C.S. Lewis.
Baby Boy Bertelsen weighs a little over 4 pounds (about the size of a pineapple) and has passed the 17-inch mark this week. He's rapidly losing that wrinkled, alien look and his skeleton is hardening. The bones in his skull aren't fused together, which allows them to move and slightly overlap, thus making it easier for him to fit through the birth canal. These bones don't entirely fuse until early adulthood, so they can grow as his brain and other tissue expands during infancy and childhood. We are keeping his name a secret until he is born!
Sophie is done growing and has started to calm down as she has gotten older. She will be 1 year old at the end of July. She loves her big back yard, and all the birds. She sits by the window and pretends to hunt them. We think she will love having a little human around the house when the baby comes home. Sophie is getting better and better at following commands, and going potty outside!
