We have recently started taking Sophie to the dog park here in Sioux Falls. It has been a while since she played with other dogs, so she was a little timid the first time we went. She was afraid of the big dogs, and kept jumping up at our feet, trying to get us to pick her up when they would try to play with her. She got scared once and took off running, and ended up with a trail of 5 BIG dogs behind her, thinking she was playing. They were so big that one of them licked her back, and it soaked her! She met an aggressive dog outside of our trip to the dog park. It bit her and held on tight. It was a little terrifying to hear her squealing and whimpering. It reminded us of how much we love Sophie. I think she was mostly afraid, but her tail bled a little and she had teeth marks on her back. We went to the dog park again shortly after this encounter, and Sophie did just fine with the other dogs. We really enjoy seeing other cute dogs and watching Sophie make friends!

Even though she isn't the baby anymore, she loves to be held.
