Baby Shower!

On Sunday we had a baby shower for the Robbins family. Here is a photo of Jeff, Deena and Cooper Robbins.

Heather and I planned the baby shower together. It was so much fun to hang out these past few weeks and go shopping together! Planning parties is a lot more fun when you have someone to plan with! Thanks Heather!
Here is the refreshments table. Silas and Heather prepared the food! We made and decorated cupcakes which were supposed to look like little rattles. But people kept saying, "are they flowers?" and my favorite was Jeff's question: "But why are they speared?" We had cheese and crackers and a fruit platter with various dips. And we made root beer floats and sherbet and sprite floats.

We played a lot of games which all turned out to be pretty fun. We played a game where we made ice cubes with little plastic babies in them, and we gave each person a cup of water and left them to their own devices to see who's baby would melt the fastest. Neal won! We played a remembrance game where we filled a basket with baby supplies including a diaper, a blanket, a bib, butt paste, etc. We showed it to the whole group for 30 seconds, and then took it away while they tried to remember each item in the basket and write it down. I think Lynette won this game. We played baby catch phrase. There were a bunch of words written on strips of paper in a bag which are associated with babies or pregnancy. Each person had one minute to get the group to guess as many words as possible. I think Deena won that game. We did a taste testing game. And then we did a relay race and a jeopardy game with conception, pregnancy, babies and a bonus diaper subjects. It was a full evening, and I think we all laughed a lot!

I did win that game! The shower was so much fun. Daniel knew the cupcakes were rattles, so don't be too sad!
That looks like tons of fun! I can't believe all of you have babies so close together.
