It's a BOY!!!

We love this picture. It looks like he is blowing bubbles. It is actually the umbilical cord. It was just as amazing to see him as it was to see Caius, and we are already overflowing with love for this little banana. We have narrowed in on a couple of names but are not decided yet. When we choose our name, we will decide whether or not we want to keep it a secret!

Here is some information about his development:

"Your baby's sensory development is exploding! His brain is designating specialized areas for smell, taste, hearing, vision, and touch. Some research suggests that he may be able to hear your voice now. Your baby weighs about 10 1/2 ounces now. He's also around 6 1/2 inches long from head to bottom and about 10 inches from head to heel — the length of a banana."

We had our 20 week ultrasound on Monday! I was so excited I kept waking up almost every hour hoping it was time to get up! As soon as the ultrasound tech placed the doppler on my belly we got a perfect view of our little baby's boy parts. Neal and I are thrilled about having another boy. He and Caius will be only 18 months apart, and we hope they will be best friends throughout their lives. The baby was VERY active through the whole ultrasound and he is whole and healthy looking. Caius was there with us and he talked him through the experience. :) My due date was confirmed on January 10. I was 20 weeks and 1 day and the baby measured at 20 weeks and 1 day!

Neal took these pictures of me today. I am 20 weeks and 4 days. I am halfway! I still have some morning sickness but it comes and goes within 15 minutes or so. So no more vomiting! I am feeling pretty good, but I can't eat as much at a time, and I am starting to get uncomfortable. I painted my toenails the other day which was far too difficult for me to do it again for a while! That will be Neal's job from now on. :)
