This is our old junker. We bought it for about $300.00. Neal drives his moped in the warm months, but we got this so he would have something to drive in the winter, while it is too cold for the moped. Turns out, he can never find a place to park that is closer than our house is to campus. So I have been taking him and picking him up from school everyday. Our friend Joseph was using this car since we never did, but last friday he got in an accident! He was going straight through a green light, and a great big truck turned left into the intersection, and right in to Joseph. The car was obviously totalled.
We got the car SO cheap and we never ever used it, so really, it is kind of a relief to get rid of it. Now we have one less thing to worry about!
Joseph was definitely shaken up and had some scrapes on his knees and a big abrasion from the seat belt. He is just fine now, and we are all very grateful that he was kept safe, when he very easily could have been badly hurt. We are keeping this photo to show his kids someday. Our plan is to tell them it was their dad's first hickie... ;)
