Caius is officially a big boy! On Sunday he went to Nusery for the first time! I took him to check it out a few times in November and December, but he went for the full two hours without Mommy or Daddy with him. I was concerned about him being too shy, and not wanting to be left, but I think slowly introducing him to the other children and the nursery leaders worked great. He had a great time at nursery and took a long nap as soon as we got home.
I went to check on him in between our classes and I caught the end of their lesson about living in heaven and then coming down to earth to live with a mommy and daddy. They showed a picture of a mommy and daddy with a little tiny baby. One of the leaders said, "Caius is going to get a new baby at his house soon, aren't you Caius?" He looked at her for a minute and then gave a very clear "uh-huh" in Caius language, with a big nod.
Here is the picture he drew after their lesson! Caius has never been as oral as most babies, but there is something about crayons...he always ends up giving them just a little taste. :) From what I heard, he enjoyed snack time, and helped himself to everyone elses snacks!
