Leland

Leland is getting SO big! I expected to feel like he was a tiny newborn for a while longer, but he is just growing so fast! He has really fattened up! He has been flashing his cute little smile at all our friends, not just mommy and daddy anymore. Neal and I think he will be a very social little boy. He started smiling so early and sometimes he will cry just becaue he can't see us. As soon as we go look at him, he is happy!

This is a picture of Leland sleeping! He slept like this, with his hands in the air for about 45 minutes. Neal and I really tried to set Leland up to have good sleep habits and I think we have done pretty well! When it is bedtime I feed him and make sure he has a clean diaper. Then we swaddle him and lay him down with some white noise, and he goes to sleep on his own. Sometimes he needs to be rocked a little just to convince him that he is getting tired. He takes good naps during the day and those are starting to become more and more predictable. And at night he sleeps up to 7 hours at a time. He usually wakes up only once, then he goes right back to sleep. Of course we have rough nights here and there, but in general, he is doing very well!
